Most recognizable by its peeling bark, with patches of white, gray, and green, the sycamore is a grand tree for a larger site. A valuable timber tree, the sycamore has large leaves up to 10" across and its seed is eaten by a wide variety of birds. Often found growing along the banks of streams and rivers, the sycamore prefers rich, moist soil and full to partial sun.
