Description

(Sorbus americana) Height: 30'

This slow-growing species produces 1/4" diameter, orange-red fruit that is a favorite of grouse and other birds. The fruit ripens in October and remains on the tree all winter. Able to thrive in a variety of environments, from dry, rocky soils to moist woods. Leaves turn shades of orange, red and purple in autumn.
